First Friday Presentation – Native American Flutes

April 3, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join Friends of the Forest member Jim Wilson for a presentation and demonstration about native flutes.  Jim is a long-time FOF member, a docent at V-Bar-V Heritage Site, and a student of our local Native American heritage.

The Sedona area has a rich history in the progression of the native flute to its present form.  This presentation will focus on an actual replica of the oldest wooden flute ever found, the “Anasazi flute”.  Played by ancient puebloans in this area, its image can be found on the rock walls at Cultural Heritage sites.

Space is limited to 40 participants.  For more information, call 928-203-2903
