Join FOF member Jim Wilson for a presentation and demonstration about native flutes at the petroglyph panel at the V Bar V Heritage Site.
The Sedona area has a rich history in the progression of the native flute to its present form. This presentation will focus on an actual replica of the oldest wooden flute ever found: the “Anasazi flute”. Played by ancient puebloans in this area, its image can be found on the rock walls at our Cultural Heritage sites
A Red Rock Pass or equivalent entrance fee is required for each vehicle. Pets are NOT permitted. Bring plenty of water plus walking shoes, hat and sunscreen. For information, call 928-203-2903.
Jim Wilson is a docent at V Bar V Heritage Site and is a long-time Friends of the Forest member. Jim is a student of our local Native American heritage and regularly conducts flute workshops.
