The Interpretive & Educational Program Committee was formed in 2012 to support the public education objectives of the Red Rock Ranger District. Education about our surrounding natural resources of our area and how to enjoy these resources in a safe, sustainable manner is a basic pillar of conservation.
Friends volunteers are involved in giving public lectures and demonstrations at the Visitor Center on a wide variety of topics. These programs attract both adult and youth participants. Other volunteers lead guided hikes focusing on birds, other wildlife, wildflowers and other native plants, native cultures, geology, photography and more.
